Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are extremely thin pieces of ceramic/porcelain that are bonded to the front of the patients’ tooth to create a new smile.
Think of them like a woman's thin fingernail layering material. Except instead of a short lasting powder/liquid acrylic, porcelain veneers are a technical marvel of glazed, oven hardened glass. When placed correctly their color, size and shape can last indefinately. Besides the infrequent chance of fracture, the main reason veneers are sometimes replaced is that in ten to twenty years, a persons gums may naturally recede which can allow the edge of the veneer to show.
Porcelain veneers are excellent in many smile situations:
crooked teeth, discolored teeth, gaps between teeth, short teeth, etc.
